Real Weddings: Dixie & Jessica

Forget tradition, Dixie and Jessica made their wedding theirs. From the Georgie Suit that made Dixie feel unstoppable to a ceremony filled with fun and personality, their big day was all about celebrating love on their own terms.

Tell us about yourselves!

Dixie: I work in the music industry, and Jessica is currently applying to start on her masters degree! We both love musical theater, and we enjoy attending comic conventions whenever possible.

How did you two meet?

We are a Bumble success story!

What was important to you in planning your wedding day?

Feeling confident in what we wore, as well as making sure our overall vision could be brought to life.

How did you go about choosing what to wear for the wedding day?

Dixie: I knew I wanted a suit, and I’ve always loved Kirrin Finch’s other clothing, so it was a pretty easy choice. My wife, Jessica, wanted to design her own dress, so she did!

How did you feel when you first saw yourself in your wedding suit?

I couldn’t believe how classy I looked! I am not a confident person but I was feeling myself!

Which Kirrin Finch pieces did you wear?

Georgie Dress Pants and Georgie Suit Jacket (both in burgundy).

What were some of the most special memories from your wedding day?

Seeing my wife come down the aisle to me. Being surrounded by incredible people who helped make it happen, and loved ones who were there to celebrate with us.

Any advice for other couples planning their wedding?

Don’t get so bogged down in the minute details. As long as you’re married at the end of the day, you’ve done well.

Anything else you'd like to share about wedding planning, your wedding day, or your love story?

Dixie: I just can’t believe how much confidence I had when I put on that KF suit! My wife told me I never looked so good, or like I FELT so good.

Jessica:  Our wedding day was incredible to us because we chose to celebrate our fun side instead of being too rigid or trying to stick to tradition. For some folks, I’m sure that works, but we wanted to embrace the different. And it ended up being the best decision I could have ever made for our wedding day.
